Karl Rove Says McCain Campaign is Lying

I know you're shocked to read that blog headline, but it's true. Karl Rove said the following:
"McCain has gone in his ads one step too far, and sort of attributing to Obama things that are, you know, beyond the 100-percent-truth test," said Rove. "Both campaigns ought to be careful about... there ought to be an adult who says: 'Do we really need to go that far in this ad?'" (SS at HP quoting Rove)
Uh, what's this, pot calling the kettle black? Or is it my grandmother's old saying, "takes one to know one"? Anyway, I read it on a post by Sam Stein, and he may have heard it through Think Progress. Of course, Rove also seems to suggest that the Obama campaign said something inaccurate too, but the video's missing that information.

But go to either one of those links and watch the Rove video. He starts to stutter just getting the words out that the McCain camp has gone too far lying. So, even Rove's admitted it. What does this mean? Is the end of the world far behind?
