American Idol: Adam Lambert the Bishonen

Unlike Sanjaya the Bishonen, this year's pretty boy contestant on American Idol, Adam Lambert, has serious skillz. I mean the boy's got a higher grade of marketable talent than Sanjaya, most definitely more charisma and showmanship as proven by his "Satisfaction" performance.

I can't make up my mind if it's Lambert's face and hair or his hair and clothing that make him a bishonen/bishounen type (spelling issues). If it's just his hair and how he dresses, is he really bishonen? My children, one a teen and the other an adult, tell me it's the hair, but Lambert also seems to have some of the moodiness associated with pretty boy Magna and Anime characters. Guess that's the artist in him.

Here's a picture of Adam next to the Manga character Sasuke Uchiha from Naruto, who is bishonen/bishounen.

Look at these two: It's Manga/Anime trope meets American flesh & blood bishie (pretty boy teen idol). At 26, however, and perhaps a tad more masculine in looks than most bishonen, Lambert's bishie days are numbered.

This is me getting ready to start covering AI, a show I used to cover regularly at my defunct blogs.
