Paris Jackson Talks About Her Father Michael Jackson

I couldn't watch the memorial, and so I will have to catch the recaps or replay it, but this brief CNN clip of Paris Katharine Jackson, 11, speaking at the Staples Center, telling the crowd through tears that her father was the best father touched me. After speaking, she turned and grabbed her aunt, Janet Jackson, who took her into her arms.

The scene underscores what I discussed in Michael Jackson's Children Redux. All this talk about the children in MSM and to whom they belong, paternity gossip, etc., is horribly wrong. They are his children. That was their father and they love him.

Also, even though Debbie Rowe is the biological mother, I think she showed sensibility by saying she would not attend the memorial. She said she felt her presence would be a distraction, and considering how some reporters got into her face until she was shouting at them is a reminder of how attacked and isolated Michael Jackson himself must have felt at times. However, he didn't lose his temper so easily, perhaps because he'd been raised in a media fish bowl.

I got home from work in time to catch the Jacksons talking about Michael.

When Paris spoke about her daddy..it brought tears to my eyes.
What she said about her daddy confirmed what I believed all along. That his children loved him and they have experienced a major loss.
