True Blood's Vampire Queen Plus Bad Boy Eric

It's getting crowded sharing space with so many True Blood fans, but that's a good thing. While BlogHer's community manager may not get the show's appeal, I perk up every Sunday night knowing a new episode hits the airwaves. Understandably, I chuckled when I saw the following animated .gif at TrueBlood Dallas, which found it at Movieline, which found it at Oh No They Didn't.

Movieline has a cool piece, "9 Fun Facts About True Blood Breakout Alexander Skarsgård," which about the 33-year-old actor who plays the devious Eric Norhtman. I like the assertion in the articles lead that we should have learned from Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Lost that blond bad boys do well in love triangles. Here's the story behind the .gif.
In his first U.S. role, he played one of the ill-fated male model roommates in Zoolander. For the denizens of ONTD, who love Skarsgård and (in equal measure) making animated .gifs with heads pasted over the Zoolander “Jitterbug” sequence, the discovery was mindblowing: A True Blood “Jitterbug” .gif could be made that Skarsgård was already in!
From the piece I also learned who is playing the mysterious vampire queen who watched Bill enter her home at the end of last Sunday night's episode, Evan Rachel Wood. According to the L.A. Times, Wood lobbied director/producer Alan Ball to play Queen Sophie Anne, an 1,100 year-old vampire temptress who may be either lesbian or bisexual.

True Blood is based on the Sookie STackhouse novel series by Charlaine Harris.

This is a seriously great series and I am a HUGE fan. Was always hoping HBO might venture into some horror-style offerings because I felt they were likely the only network that could do such a series justice. And man did they ever deliver!

I don't get to watch TB until the ep is uploaded online...usually after midnight Sunday. But it is worth the wait...I love this show!

I try to stay away from Twitter while I wait to watch, because folks give away the secrets and I want to SEE it!
