OSF: Working on Working It Out

WOW! I found time to do Old School Friday. I'm happy for me. :-) This week's theme is Work It Out, and I can't help it, Marva took one of my Work It Out songs, Eminem's Lose Yourself, and so you'll see it last as a repeat. Ever notice that most of the really good work it out, dance it out, or walk it out songs that help you deal with frustration and do great cardio are by men? Of course, I could go with Patti LaBelle's New Attitude, but I'll save that for another OSF.

Still, with my first choice, I'm going to take it down a notch to something slow by Sly and the Family Stone featuring a female lead, Que Sera Sera. Think Yoga!

Sometimes, the only thing that will do, and possibly always the better choice, is some good gospel music that calls on God to give you strength. One of my favorites is God Can Do Anything by the New Jersey Mass Choir, but I couldn't find a video. So, here's another favorite, Holy Spirit. Yoga again.

And finally here's Eminem again because it's one of those days, crazy conservatives on Twitter, etc. Okay, kick boxing.

The creators of the Old School Friday meme are Mrs. Grapevine and Marvalus at Conversations with Marva and has these rules, if you want to join this theme party.

You know, I never thought about working out to gospel music. Maybe I'll give it a try. (I think I will try just about anything at this point! LOL)

Very interesting mix you have going on! I have not heard Que Sara, Sara in years since I was a child, great song!
I agree about gospel music to work out to. If I'm working out to gospel it's usually Kirk Franklin & Toby Mack, awesome!
Have a great weekend!

Also really like that Eminem song. Really has a great push to it.

Happy OSF!

Okay, what's going on with OSF? I can't find any posts until a week later - anyway, it's Oct. 9th and today is John Lennon's birthdayso I went with that!

Happy OSF a week and or maybe a day early?
