CNN, ABC Report Pentagon Shooting, Update

CNN reports that three people have been shot at the Pentagon in Washington. More accurately, it happened at the Pentagon Metro station around 6:35 p.m. Two police officers and the suspect were wounded. Details are sketchy right now but a press conference is being held as I type. ABC News reports the Pentagon went on lock-down, Code Red.

UPDATE: The suspect's name is John Patrick Bedell, 36. News Sources say he's died from his wounds. Mediaelites.com has a profile of the alleged shooter, Bedell.

From the Associated Press, Bedell appears to have been disturbed about 9/11. He didn't trust the military:
In an Internet posting, a user named JPatrickBedell wrote that he was determined to see justice for the 1991 death of Marine Col. James Sabow in Orange County, which was ruled a suicide but has long been the source of coverup theories. The writer said the case would be a step toward revealing the truth behind the 9/11 "demolitions." (LAT)
WJLA ABC reports the Pentagon Metro Station was closed after the shooting and commuters stranded.

Hey, CR. The press conference just ended and the Pentagon spokesman apologized for "being evasive," so we didn't learn much looking at it. He just wanted to assure people that it's safe now, I guess.

You know we'll hear more about this b/c while it may just be one disturbed person behind it it will draw more scrutiny b/c it happened at the Pentagon Metro station and people ponder terrorism.
