The Real Vernon Jordan Was on The Good Wife

I've already admitted my addiction to the CBS show The Good Wife. Vernon Jordan showing up is icing on the cake.

Tonight on the show, partners Will and Diane discussed the possibility that an impressive attorney might be interested in joining the firm, and they dropped Jordan's name. I watched and wondered if they meant THE Vernon Jordan. Yes, they did.
(born Aug. 15, 1935, Atlanta, Ga., U.S.) American attorney, civil rights leader, business consultant, and influential power broker. Although he never held political office, Jordan served as a key adviser in the 1990s to U.S. President Bill Clinton, having befriended him and his wife, Hillary Rodham Clinton, decades earlier.(Read)
He was on, but he will not be the big fish at the firm. He wanted to buy it, not join it. His alma mater, DePauw University, acknowledged his appearance on the show tonight as well. He's an advisory member on its board of trustees.

The other big news on the show is that the partners chose Alicia over Cary. I seriously doubt that's the last we see of Cary (Matt Czuchry). I knew that, but next week's previews made it clear. He really is too good a character to lose.

Jordan in HBO documentary, The Blacklist.

I have never watched The Good Wife. But it is interesting that Vernon Jordan would appear on any television show as a character. I don't do well with series type programs. Maybe I'll eventually get into this particular show.

This is also my wife's (and I) fav show of the season. Pretty cool to him to see him portraying himself. Thanks for this.

msladydeborah, I don't do well with these types of shows but I was hooked from the first and it is getting better and better. It's really intelligent and well acted. One has to watch closely because various things happen that give clues to the storyline. I think you would enjoy giving it a try. It's a very accurate depiction of how law firms and politics works, with a human focus. :)
