Rest In Peace, Daddy

I am saddened to report that my father passed away Wednesday morning.

(November 9, 1920 - April 25, 2012)

U.S. Veteran ADAMS

Norwood Edward Adams, age 91 years, a native of Vacherie, LA, and a permanent resident of New Orleans, passed away on Wednesday, April 25, 2012. He was a World War II veteran who witnessed the eruption of Mount Vesuvius during the war in March 1944. He was also a former member of St. Raymond Roman Catholic Church and a current member of Calvary Tabernacle CME Church. For more than 30 years he worked for the United States Postal Service, many of those years as a supervisor, retiring in 1987. In addition, all who loved him knew he was an ardent sports fan, cheering on both the New Orleans Saints and the Hornets. Norwood is preceded in death by his wife of nearly 60 years, Fannie Naomi Reddix Adams. Surviving him are his daughter and son, Nordette Naomi Adams and Benjamin James Adams ...
