Currently Watching "Bad Writing," the Movie (Video)

BAD WRITING from Morris Hill Pictures on Vimeo. This movie, directed by Vernon Lott, is streaming for free on Vimeo the entire month of January, and it has a Facebook page, H/T to Paul Constant.

The documentary features interviews with well-known nonfiction and fiction writers and poets, including David Sedaris, Margaret Atwood, Nick Flynn, Steve Almond, and Louisiana's own Yusef Kumonyakaa.

According to an artilce at The Atlantic, "How Bad Writing Became a Great Movie," the project sprang from Lott finding "a group of boxes in his mother's basement (in 2009 when he was 34). He realized, with horror, what he'd uncovered: thousands of terrible poems he'd penned during his teens and early 20s."

The rating for this documenatry is 4.8 on IMDB, but I like it.
