Miranda Lambert's emotional performance of "The House That Built Me" got to me, too. The country singer and wife of Blake Shelton, sang the song at Wednesday night's benefit on NBC, Healing in the Heartland, for victims of that massive tornado that slammed Moore, Oklahoma, earlier this month. Tornado destruction or not, "The House That Built Me" is a beautiful song with moving lyrics.

You can still donate to help victims at www.facebook.com/UnitedWay or at www.unitedwayokc.org. Some New Orleans organizations have also raised money to help because down here, knowing what it's like to lose everything, we empathize like it's happening to us.

Blake Shelton and Usher also performed during the show, singing "Home" as a duet. That video is below. If you watch The Voice on NBC, you may have noticed that the two seem to get along well. I imagine Shelton's very easy to get along with, however. He's charming and funny, able to laugh at himself often. And Usher's a sweetie too. The audience really screamed when he came out. It was a sweet duet, but Miranda's performance moved me more.
