Friends at Tulane University Discover They Are Sisters (Video)
This is an incredible story from CNN news. Friends at Tulane University in New Orleans discovered that they have the same sperm donor. They're lovely girls who look related.
As the New Orleans Advocate reports, Mikayla Stern-Ellis and Emily Nappi, both freshmen accepted to Tulane, found each other on the school's website. Mikayla was looking for a roommate and noticed how much she and Emily had in common. So, she wrote her; however, Emily had a roommate already.
In a Father's Day Facebook post, Mikayla thanked her Colombia sperm donor. Emily told her that a Colombia sperm donor was her father as well. But they thought it was unlikely they had the same sperm donor.
Once at school, they became friends and joked about being almost sisters, they told CNN, but it wasn't until they compared their sperm donor numbers over a holiday break that they found out it was not a joke but true.
This story lives up to the old saying that truth is stranger than fiction. And it's so nice to have a happy story to tell rather than a tragedy these days.
