Nigel to Chris: 'You looked like Mama wanna pee pee'

Nigel Lythgoe, a judge on FOX show So You Think You Can Dance, told contestant Chris, who danced a Krump routine with Comfort tonight, "You looked like Mama, wanna peepee." Now that was a comical saying!

The boy was out of his element, but dang! That was harsh. The show's loudest judge, Mary Murphy, also thought Chris could've done the routine better. Cat Deeley tried to soften the blows by saying, "I thought he was pretty fly for a white guy."

Mia Michaels went easy on the pair, perhaps a little gunshy since she gave Kherington such a hard time for smiling too much, Mia thought, during the Viennese Waltz, which was also a tribute choreographer Jean Marc Genereux's ill daughter. Anyway, no one else agreed. Still, Mia's cool.

As I said in my post last week, I don't really recap SYTYCD. You have to look elsewhere for that. I just comment on what ever strikes me while watching the show.

My daughter, who paid far more attention to her dance training than I ever did to mine, thinks the men are on fire this season and that we won't see a female win this year as we did last year when cute little Sabra won. Her favorite is Twitch, a HipHop dancer. They seem to have quite a few of those this season. She doesn't say he'll win, but that he's her favorite.

I didn't agree with half of what the judges said last night. Sometimes I wonder if they're seeing another show! I did think Nigel's comment was funny, but did he have to spend so much time illustrating his own white boy way of doing it?! The whole point of the crotch grab move is it has to be done by someone who oozes sexuality, which neither Chris nor Nigel do.

I didn't think of that, Jane, about how Nigel looked with his imitation, but I did tell my daughter that Chris will be hearing that comment for a long time to come, not on the show, but probably from people ribbing him. I feel for him.

The judges didn't seem to like much last night, did they?

I thought Nigel's comments were hysterical! I think most of what comes out of his mouth is very thoughtful and right on the money. I have a lot of respect for him. And the comments completely illustrated the point. In my opinion, the judges make that show so much more interesting.

Nigel! I actually like him a lot. I prefer the judges on SYTYCD to American Idol. Nigel strikes me as genuinely a gentleman. I think he and the other judges care about the dancers and their futures. Not to say that the AI judges don't care about their contestants, but the SYTYCD judges seem to care more.

The comment make me laugh too, but having a teen son, I thought about the ribbing Chris will take later.

My daughter fell over laughing at Nigel's comment also.
